Some of the roads in Bangalore city have become highly congested due to increase of vehicle population as well as pedestrian traffic. Therefore it is found necessary in the interest of public safety and convenience to fix the maximum speed limit of the movement of vehicles within the jurisdiction of Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City.:
Whereas the speed limits on different roads are varying from road to road, thereby causing confusion to the drivers/ riders and the enforcing staff. Therefore it is found necessary in the interest of public as well as enforcing staff to fix the maximum speed limit of the movement of vehicles on all roads except International Airport road from Hebbala to Airport within jurisdiction of Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City.
The new speed limit applicable to vehicles in Bangalore City vide notification No.472/Tr.Br/Addl CP(Tr)/2011 Dated:03-12-11 is as follows;

These restrictions shall come into force with immediate effect.
